   Chris Phillips ATC, CSCS

   Founder and Owner

Chris is Founder and Owner of Compete Sports Performance & Rehab and sets the standard for Compete's performance training and sports medicine programs. He is a recognized board certified Athletic Trainer (NATA) and Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) that possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the world of performance training and sports rehabilitation. Chris is also a Integrative Correctice Exercise Specialist, Certified Power Plate Trainer, certified Sports Safety Specialist, a member of the Medical Fitness Network and a preferred provider for US Figure Skating's National Network of Sports Medicine.

With more than 20 years of experience in professional sports, Chris has served as the Athletic Trainer for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League, The Los Angeles Sol of the Womens Professional Soccer League, and has served as both the Head Athletic Trainer and Head Strength Coach for the Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football League. More recently, Chris has supervised the sports medicine and performance training programs for the Orange County Blues of the Men's USL Pro League and Anaheim Bolts of the Professional Indoor Soccer League. Chris is also one of the Co-Founders for, a soccer performance training website where Chris frequently contributes his knowldege of sports medicine and strength & conditioning. He has written for High School Illustrated Magazine, Cali Rubber Magazine, OC Parenting and Men's Journal.

While working in the NHL, Chris's proudest moment was being a member of the 2003 Stanley Cup Finalist, Mighty Ducks. He was also selected as the Head Athletic Trainer for the 2002 Men's USA Hockey National Team that competed in Sweden. Throughout his career, Chris has worked with elite athletes including Alex Ovechkin, Teemu Selanne, Paul Kariya, JS Giguere, Joy Fawcett, Marta, Shannon Boxx and Mariah Bell.

Brandon Lambert

Brandon serves as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for Compete Sports Performance & Rehab. Brandon brings superior experience as both an athlete and coach to the staff. He was the Defensive Coordinator for the Tustin High School Varsity Football Team and currently coaches track and field. 

As a 3 sport stand out at Tustin High School (football, basketball, and track), Brandon earned a football scholarship to Boise State University and spent one season at Boise State prior to transferring Santa Ana College in which he subsequently received another scholarship to play at San Jose State University. At Compete, Brandon works with both our private clients and teams and directs our Adult SportFlex Small Group Training.

Kojo Ahrin CSCS

Kojo is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is currently completing his Doctorate in Sports Psychology. He attended Northern Arizona University where he played football and studied sports exercise. Kojo currently offers Mental Performance training with athletes to further succeed in their sport. 


Jenna Janadi MS ATC

Jenna is a certified athletic trainer and graduate of Plymouth State University, where she received her Master's in Athletic Training.  She attended Cal State University, Fullerton for undergrad, where she got her Bachelor's in Kinesiology.  Her primary responsibilities at Compete include serving as the Athletic Trainer at Capistrano Valley Christian School, the Ontario Avalanche Junior Hockey Team and Socal Blues club soccer. Jenna also manages Athletic Training coverage of events.


Mike Hannegan MS ATC

Mike Hannegan comes to Compete following 15 years as an  Athletic Trainer in the National Hockey League. An Orange County native, his resume includes over 17 years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer in professional sports including over 1000 Professional Hockey games worked. Hannegan received his B.S. in Movement and Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology from Chapman University and went on to complete his Masters of Science degree in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer with the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength Coach's Association, Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.


Tim Kilpatrick CSCS

Tim Kilpatrick is a graduate of Salem State University in Massachussetts with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Tim was a member of the Men's Soccer Team all four years at Salem. Tim has been invloved in coaching soccer skills for both Global Premier Soccer and Cypress Futbol Club. Tim teaches Compete's Athletic Performance Class and trains both athletes and adults in the Lake Forest office. He also directs Compete's Elite Soccer Training. Tim is also an Assistant Strength Coach for the United States Tennis Association in Carson.


Ashley Gentry ATC

Ashley Gentry is a certified athletic trainer and a graduate from Ball State University where she received her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training. She primarily covered Volleyball, Football, and Field Hockey during her undergraduate career. For the past three years she has worked at a large entertainment company in Orlando, Florida. She currently serves as the athletic trainer for OC All- Stars Cheer and Dance program and Santa Margarita Catholic High School Cheer Team. Ashley also provides Athletic Training coverage at local sporting events.


 Dr. Lane Tran, Doctor of Chiropractic

Lane Tran, D.C., CSCS. Dr. Lane Tran is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Cal State Fullerton where he ran track and is also a National Strength and Conditioning Association, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Lane provides his services at Compete that include injury assessment, adjustments, soft tissue mobilization and percussion therapy.



Meaghan Beaudoin MS ATC

Meaghan Beaudoin earned Bachelors Degrees from both Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo  and Chapman University in Kinesiology and Athletic Training, respectively.  She later earned her Masters Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Fresno Pacific University. She was the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL from 2008-2010 and is currently the Health Management Coordinator and Athletic Trainer at Sage Hill School in Newport Coast. At Compete, Meaghan is the Coordinator of Athletic Training services where her focus is to improve and oversee outreach programs including event coverage, sports organization compliance, as well as education and promotion of Athletic Training.  Meaghan's position will support Compete's mission to provide a safer environment for local youth athletes.


Neil Campbell

Neil Campbell is a Certified Personal Trainer with a Performance Enhancement Specialization from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He grew up locally in Southern Orange County like most kids playing any sport possible, focusing primarily on hockey and high school football. Currently, Neil continues to stay involved in athletics as an on-ice hockey official for the American Hockey League, as well as USA Hockey, where he also dedicates time to the development of youth officials.
